Choral Workshop Concert 7:30pm March 24, 2012 First United Methodist Church Port Huron, MI We are delighted to offer our fourth choral workshop for area choirs. Choir members will meet on Saturday during the day with noted pianist and composer Joel Raney. Mr. Raney is a Juilliard trained pianist and composer, currently living in Chicago. Joel started playing the piano sometime between learning to walk and learning to read. He has over 200 titles in print, primarily with Hope Publishing where he serves as Editor. His innovative style and inspired arranger's instincts put his numerous works at the top of sales charts year after year. Joel's interest in music of all kinds has led to employment opportunities in everything from classical and jazz performance to pop vocal arranging. At 7:30 p.m. concertgoers will be privileged to hear the work of local musicians in a massed choir under the direction of Joel Raney as well as hear him perform on our Steinway piano. |
